This is a tasteful antique/vintage pitcher (pichet) with a deep brown glaze and hand-painted white dots, a design found in artisanal handmade pieces from regions like Soufflenheim pottery in Alsace, France, traditional Hungarian ceramics, or Heimberg in Switzerland.
It has a plump, rounded form and, although there are no markings on the underside, its indescribable warm texture and beautiful color are all incredibly appealing. It will blend well in any setting and is sure to become a favorite decorative item. This is an item that will gain more character with prolonged use.
Crazing is visible on the inside. There are chips on the rim and what appear to be manufacturing marks on the inside. The exterior is in very good condition.
Weight: 368 grams Size: 11 x 14 cm (including handle)
