This tableware is from the Old Country Castle series, developed by the British pottery company, British Anchor. The material is a hard and durable pottery called Ironstone. The backstamp indicates 1884, but this particular pattern is a vintage item manufactured between 1960 and 1970. It features a landscape of old English castles depicted using the copperplate transfer technique.
This series is no longer in production (discontinued) and is therefore a popular item traded in the vintage market.
There are no chips or crazing. It is made of a durable material called Ironstone.
