This is a French antique/vintage cafe au lait bowl with red and Bordeaux geometric patterns. This distinctive red check pattern design is a style often seen in old French tableware. Bowls from around the 19th century were often large for soup, but from the 1920s to the 1940s, when coffee became more common, bowls of the size we see today became more prevalent.
There is no backstamp, but similar check series exist from famous French pottery manufacturers such as Badonviller, Digoin, and Sarreguemines. There are also some influenced by traditional Moroccan mosaic patterns (Marrakech patterns). Cafe au lait bowls are still very popular as collector's items.
There are cracks and crazing, but overall it is in good condition.
