This is an oval plate (ravier) by Haviland, made in the Limoges region. It features an elegantly ruffled relief edge and delicate purple floral patterns (such as violets). This is a texture commonly found in high-quality porcelain produced in Limoges during that era.
Limoges porcelain is highly rare and popular as a collector's item.
The backstamp is a design used from 1902, suggesting it is an antique/vintage item. During this period in France, porcelain with delicate floral patterns and Art Nouveau-influenced curvilinear forms was very popular.
In addition to its original use as an appetizer plate, it is now popular as an accessory tray, a key dish, or a plate for displaying small sweets.
There are no cracks and it is in very good condition.
